Lake Erie Wheelers
Women Only Bike Rides

The Lake Erie Wheelers is a bicycle club whose members reside in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area.

We participate in all facets of cycling: touring, recreation, fitness, mountain biking, and racing.

In order to provide as many opportunities as possible to ride among bicyclists with similar interests, the Lake Erie Wheelers (LEW) will again sponsor this year women's only rides (or Luna rides) the first Saturday of the month beginning in April.

The pace and speed of our rides vary depending on who shows up; Maps are provided, and we usually ride at a B or C pace (12-17 mph) with regrouping as necessary and no pacelines, for about 25-45 miles, stopping midway for lunch!

Our rides depart from various locations on the west side. It may be a good idea to let me know if you are planning to come to any particular ride so that I can contact you in case there needs to be a change in plans for any reason.

Our first ride was on April 2nd starting at Lakewood Park (Lake and Belle Avenues in Lakewood) going to Shaker Square, about 30 miles round trip, starting at 10:00 a.m. Beginning in May, the rides start at 9:00 a.m.

For a schedule of our rides, please go to the LEW web site (www.lakeeriewheelers.org) or contact Bonnie Vargo at vargobb@hotmail.com.

Hope to see you there!
