The Devil Wears Prada

Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway are wonderful in this fun film about an outrageous "Boss" female fashion- magazine editor and her over burdened assistant. This movie is based on the Lauren Weisberger bestseller.

Meryl Streep does an excellent job - but truthfully I would quit if I worked for her. She is too demanding and self centered and selfish. But this may be the way it is in the clothing industry. I enjoyed it immensely. It may be more of a chic-flick.

Superman Returns

This movie was different from the last one I saw. It's not in the usual super-hero mold. It's a romantic and thoughtful exploration of Lois and Clark's relationship from Bryan Singer.

According to critics this movie won't please all the fans. But it was interesting and kept my attention. This new Superman reminded me of Tom Cruise a little bit. Did you see it too?

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley star in this one along with a whole bunch of other ugly looking characters. First of all, I must admit I didn't see the first movie and I probably won't go the third one in the making as I am writing this. This movie grossed over $132 million so it just goes to show you I may be alone in my views on this movie.

Johnny Depp is an excellent actor, but he always plays strange parts. In this one he is running around the island trying to find a chest and of course he encounters many different (and odd) circumstances. It is funny in parts - Walt Disney scored big on this one. But I just didn't like it. Go see it and make up your own mind and let me know what you think.
