Irish Christmas Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup softened butter not margarine
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar
  • 3 whole eggs beaten
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ cup Irish whiskey
  • ¼ cup golden raisins
  • ¼ cup chopped almonds
  • ¼ cup candied orange peel

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 375
  • Grease cookie sheets
  • Cream butter and sugar
  • Beat in eggs
  • Sift together flour, baking powder, salt
  • Combine with butter mixture
  • Gently add whiskey
  • Add fruit and nuts and mix well
  • Drop by spoon onto greased cookie sheets
  • Bake 6-8 minutes.
