Christmas Cinnamon Pudding

Ingredients For Sauce:

  • 4 cups brown sugar
  • 3 cups water
  • 4 TBS Butter
  • tsp. Salt
  • 2 tsp. Durkee Imitation Vanilla
  • 1 tsp. Durkee Rum Flavoring

Ingredients For Cake:

  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tsp. Baking powder
  • 4 tsp. Durkee ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 TBS. melted butter
  • 2 tsp. Durkee Imitation Vanilla
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions For Sauce:

  • Prepare sauce first
  • combine first 4 ingredients in sauce pan
  • Combine first 4 ingredients in sauce pan
  • Bring to a boil over a medium heat and cook, uncovered, for 5 minutes
  • Remove from heat and stir in Vanilla and Rum flavoring


Instructions For Cake:

  • Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, Cinnamon and salt
  • Mix well
  • Combine milk, melted butter and Vanilla in a small bowl
  • Add all at once to the flour mixture
  • Blend quickly
  • Spread in a greased 12 x 18 inch steamable pan.
  • Pour the sauce over the top
  • Do not mix in
  • Scatter the pecanse over the sauce
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until the center bubbles up
  • Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream
