Valentine Greetings
Get the special Postmark

Every year since 1946 the U.S. Post Office in Loveland, Colorado creates a special and unique cancellation stamp to celebrate Valentine's Day and the significant name of this Colorado city.

They average more than 300,000 Valentines postmarked through their city on February 14th every year. The Valentine's Day greetings are sent to over 100 countries around the world and all 50 states.

If you want your Valentine to have the special Loveland postmark here's what you need to do:

Enclose your pre-stamped, pre-addressed Valentine in an over-sized First Class envelope.

Send your Valentine to:

Postmaster
ATTN: Valentines
USPS
Loveland, CO 80538-9998

Your Valentine will be removed from that envelope and hand-stamped with the Loveland cachet and then cancelled at the Loveland Post Office.

If you want to be sure your Valentine gets to its destination by Valentine's Day it must be received by the Loveland Post Office by February 9th (for U.S. mail) or February 3rd (for international mail).
