Q. I got my long hair cut really short and the stylist says my hair may suffer from trauma for awhile. I never heard of such a thing. What can you tell me?
A. I have never heard of "hair trauma". I'll have to look it up. I would think you would suffer from trauma (wakening up one morning not seeing your long hair awww!)
I'm just kidding. Think of cutting your hair as a good thing, It's like starting fresh again. It will grow back - healthy!

Q. What would you suggest (style wise) for my hair? I am 14 weeks pregnant and want to do something so I don't have to worry about it during the pregnancy. I've heard your hair changes a lot with your hormones.
A. I would suggest a one length bob with a sweeping bang or a full bang to keep hair out of your eyes.
Tori Spelling and Victoria Beckham had these cuts while pregnant. Simple and easy to manage.

Q. I've heard of Keratin for straightening hair. Does it work? Is it safe? What do you recommend?
A. Keratin is a type of protein most commonly found in hair.
Asian women have a lot of keratin protein in their hair that causes their hair to be pin-straight. African American women do not have as much so therefore they have overly curly hair.
Yes, keratin could be used to straighten hair. Does it work? It all depends on your type of hair.
It is common to get a keratin treatment to provide extra conditioning, although it is not safe if you get keratin treatments too much.
