The Cleveland Comets Women's Baseball Team, first team of the Greater Cleveland Women's Baseball League (GCWBBL), enters its 3rd year as the only Ohio area women-only baseball venue.
Women.
Little ball.
Ninety feet to the bag.
Overhand pitching.
A few actually get in there at 70 mph.
Following the legacy of the women's professional league during WWII, The Comets take their name from one of those teams, the Kenosha Comets of Wisconsin. We play in the Great Lakes League against teams from Michigan, Chicago, South Bend, and have recently competed at the Roy Hobbs National Championships in Florida.
The Comets are affiliated with Roy Hobbs Baseball and is a fully sanctioned sport with the Amateur Athletic Union.
