Irish Christmas Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup softened butter not margarine
- 1 cup granulated white sugar
- 3 whole eggs beaten
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp. Salt
- ½ cup Irish whiskey
- ¼ cup golden raisins
- ¼ cup chopped almonds
- ¼ cup candied orange peel
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375
- Grease cookie sheets
- Cream butter and sugar
- Beat in eggs
- Sift together flour, baking powder, salt
- Combine with butter mixture
- Gently add whiskey
- Add fruit and nuts and mix well
- Drop by spoon onto greased cookie sheets
- Bake 6-8 minutes.
