Egg Nog

Ingredients:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • ¼ tsp. Salt
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 6-egg white
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • Ground nutmeg

Instructions:

  • In a small mixer bowl beat egg yolks until blended.
  • Gradually add ¼ cup sugar.
  • Beat at high speed until sugar is lemon colored.
  • Stir in milk, vanilla and salt.
  • (NOTE: If you want to add alcohol, this would be the time to add Light Rum and/or Bourbon to total approximately 1 cup, deleting 1 cup of milk).
  • Chill the mixture thoroughly.
  • Whip the cream. In a large mixer beat egg whites until a soft peak forms.
  • Gradually add remaining ¼ cup sugar.
  • Keep mixing to stiff peaks.
  • Fold yolk mixture and egg whipped cream gently into egg whites.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Sprinkle with ground nutmeg as a garnish.
