When ClevelandWomen.com asked me to set up the blog, Ask Rachael, I was very hesitant at first because I am a shy and reserved person.
I am also not a person who speaks openly about my troubles, achievements and challenges. However, if we as teenagers do not try and share openly and help one another to tackle those things that trouble us together, we will not be able to learn from our experiences in ways that might prevent us from getting hurt.
It is my desire to prevent teenagers from making choices without input from their peers or from making choices all alone because they cannot talk to their parents. It was this decision that led me to accept ClevelandWomen.com's invitation.
I am very hopeful that my blog will become a safe place to ask questions and to seek and give input on the most challenging issues we face as teenagers.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Rachael
